K-96 June Jaunt Activities: Music

Now that you've been introduced to all of our fine communities along K-96, we're sure you're ready to begin planning your trip to get you from point A to point B. If you're not sure how to best plan your route for the K-96 June Jaunt, over the next few weeks you can find the events here by categories of interest. These categories will be: Arts, Antiques, Crafts, Cuisine, Family, History, Music, Rural Activities, and Shopping. Use these categories as a guide to find the best activities suited to your interests. Or for a more adventurous traveler feel free to jaunt wherever the wind blows come June 1-3. Our writer for this blog falls more into the first category of planning, but we welcome all types.

Confucius once said, "Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without," so with that in mind we realized we couldn't have an event without a little music here and there. If you enjoy a good tune, make sure to add a few of our musical activities to your trip.

• Dighton Bluegrass Festival - All Day on June 2 at 1st & James

Ellinwood's Music Events:

• Live Music - All Day on June 2 at K-96 & Main

Great Bend's Music Events:

• JUNE JAM at the Zoo from 4:30-8PM on June 1 at 2200 Main
• Live Music - All Day on June 2 at 1400 Main

Leoti's Music Events:

•  Friday Flicks Karaoke at City Hall at 8:30 PM on June 1 at 406 S. 4th

Ness City's Music Events:

• Mood Hooters Dance from 8PM-12AM on June 2 at Main Street

Scott City's Music Events:

• Music in the Park - All Day on June 2 at the 1200 Block of Main
• Street Dance from 9-11PM on June 2 at K-96 & Washington

Tribune's Music Events:

• Hog Roast, Music & Prizes from 5PM-3AM on June 2 at 208 W. Kansas

There are many opportunities to sit and listen to music or dance the night away to your favorite tunes during the K-96 June Jaunt! We hope we'll send you boogying from town to town!
