K-96 June Jaunt 2013: Ellinwood's Schedule of Events

Ellinwood is very excited to be part of the 2nd Annual June Jaunt. Our community was thrilled with the attendance last year and the June Jaunt committee has worked hard to add more activities this year to make June Jaunt a whole new, larger experience for visitors this year.

Friday, May 31

• Group Tours of Historic Underground World at K-96 and Main Street at 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM

• Murder Mystery Dinner along with Wine Tasting (Part of the proceeds will benefit the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation) at Lone Wolf Restaurant at 6 PM.

Saturday, June 1

• Authentic German Food, Restaurants and Food Vendors, All Day
• Registration for 5K Color Fun Walk/Run at the City Park (6th and Fritz) at 7:30 AM
• 5K Color Fun Walk/Run begins from 6th and Fritz at 8 AM
• Outdoor Antique and Unique Market at K-96 and Main from 8 AM to 5 PM
• Classic Car Show on Main Street from 9 AM to 3 PM
• Art Show and Sales Featuring Local Artists at the Fire Escape on Main Street, 9 AM to 3 PM
• Kids' Creative Corner located inside Legion grass area, 117 E. Santa Fe from 10 AM to 1 PM
• Sidewalk Sales, Ellinwood Businesses from 10 AM to 5 PM
• Antique Store Specials from 10 AM to 5 PM 
• Historic Underground World Tours at K-96 and Main Street at 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM.

Sunday, June 2

•  Group Tours of Historic Underground World at K-96 and Main Street at 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM
• Sunday Brunch at the American Legion at 117 E. Santa Fe Blvd from 11 AM to 1 PM
• Family Bingo at the American Legion from 1 PM to 3 PM 

Other important information about Ellinwood:

1. All of the Ellinwood Activities will be within walking distance of each other so you can stroll down the historic brick laid streets and admire the historic architecture on the buildings and beautiful golden wheat shocks hanging above.
2. Ellinwood welcomes RV Camping! Ellinwood is a friendly community to RV campers with multiple campsites at very affordable rates. They also have a dump station available to campers. Wolf Pond campsites offer a view of Wolf Pond that is a daily stop for geese, a stocked fishing pond and offers picnic tables for campers. There are more camping spots on the NW edge of Ellinwood that have electric and water hookups also.
